Why I Started This
I spent years stuck in toxic, underpaid nonprofit jobs — working 12-hour days with no real growth, no path forward, and constant burnout.
I took a big risk leaving my first job with no safety net. I traveled, but my bank account hit zero.
Then came the real wake-up call. I was laid off without warning—on the same day bonuses were handed out. Mine never came.
That’s when I said: Never again.
I made a promise to myself: I would build something of my own. I would never rely on a single income stream again.
And I’d help others do the same.
What I Believe
- You deserve time freedom — to rest, to travel, to choose your work.
- You can build financial freedom — even if you’re starting from zero
- You don’t have to follow the traditional path — especially if it’s crushing your spirit
- Success isn’t one-size-fits-all — your version matters.
I created Dream Different, Live Free as a place to share what I’ve learned, explore alternative income streams, and build a life that actually feels like mine — intentional, meaningful, and free.
A Little More About Me
I grew up around small business owners and always had that spark. After 7 years working in economic development, I saw firsthand how powerful financial knowledge and business ownership can be — especially for women.
I’ve:
Negotiated a 40% income increase in 3 years
Built a safety net from scratch
Explored multiple income streams
Used my existing skills and income to build toward freedom
And I help others do the same.
